OUR STORY
My name is Paese Fa'amao, hailed from the village of Siumu and Manono Tai. My parents are
Moeileala Kaio Lopesi and Pasia Gauta Lopesi.
I am now a mother of three beautiful kids and married to the love of my life Peter Faamao from the village of Lepea and Laulii.
I was born in Samoa in 1986, my journey started from there till my parents decided tobring me here in NZ for a better future when I was 19 years of age.
Before I moved here, I've seen my parents tried different ways to earn money to pay for our school fees, church, village and to put food on the table for our family.
Before I moved here I decided to leave school and find a job to help my parents out so I found a job at our very own village hotel called Sinalei Reef Resort, from there I started to pick up a few ideas of how to cook different kinds of food and how to present it to the customers, not only at the hotel but I have been watching my mum cooking at home.
When I moved here, I came and stayed with my oldest sister she is also a chef, from there I started to cook different kind of meals at home for the family, also found few jobs in hospitality here in NZ till I became a caterer.
My purpose is to present our yummy island food to the people, not only that but I am willing to do this little business for my kids and for my family.
